Halló (means hello in Icelandic) and nice to meet you. My name is Rúnar—but mostly everyone calls me Roo—and I'm a designer person. Although my educational background and current job are in digital design, I love all areas of design and problem solving.
I was born and raised in Iceland but I'm currently based in San Francisco New York where I work as a Product Designer at PayPal WeWork.
I moved to San Francisco in 2012 to play college soccer while pursuing a higher education. Along with playing for The Urban Knights on an athletic scholarship, I graduated from the Web & New Media department at the Academy of Art in San Francisco in fall 2015.
I know all the good design words and acronyms like: Cohesive, AI, Blockchain, Design System, MVP, Agile, IxD, Responsive etc. However, luckily I can also speak and understand non-designer language.
